The use of organic cotton yarn is fundamental to our business, since the conventional means of cotton production is so chemically intensive and harmful at all stages of use – see the why organic cotton tab for more information. But this alone is not enough, since even the organic origin of the yarn is no guarantee of ethical trading practice elsewhere in the supply chain.
We are working hard towards the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) to gain full accreditation and have individual contact with all partners in our supply chain for complete control.
All our supplies are ethically traded, free of sweat-shop abuses and are carefully designed to have a low environmental impact. This means that when you buy clothes from the Nalan Collection you will know that you’re helping, in a positive way, to make the world a better place.
